The Gray Wig Presents Rodgers and Hart Concert

John Cranford Adams Playhouse, April 9-11, 2010

During the 1920s and 1930s, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart helped craft musical comedy into a well-developed art form, with their songs being performed in countless hit stage productions. Rodgers and Hart were the first songwriting team in which the lyricist received equal billing with the composer. A diverse collection of some of Long Island’s most talented vocalists and musicians pays tribute to this remarkable pair who crafted dozens of the great standards of the American popular repertoire, such as “Blue Moon,” “Where or When,” “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” and “My Funny Valentine.”
